Trip Itenary

Wake up early and have breakfast at 6 am, then transfer to the park office in Kinigi by 7 am.
Upon arrival, meet with the park guides for a briefing about your Golden Monkey Trek, and the park rules, and then drive near the base of the starting point.
The trek begins at an altitude of about 2,600m above sea level. Monkeys are usually spotted as they trek from the lower ground of the park through the thick bamboo shoots, which is a great experience. Visitors are permitted to spend only one hour with the monkeys when they encounter them, similar to the gorilla trekking experience.
During your 1-day Golden Monkey trekking safari in Volcanoes National Park, if time allows, you can choose to participate in an activity before heading back to your hotel or Kigali, marking the end of your trekking adventure.
